Five floors up inside of Paradise, closing in on the White sanded beach and overlooking the turquoise waters of the pool, this patch of heaven opens its dark wooden door to reveal the beauty shielded from the warm desert sun.
As you enter, a door reveals a fully equipped laundry room while an ample space spreads across the marble floors.
To the left, an office desk and a wicker chair permit time to overlook the rest of the world while basking in this tropical heaven. To the right, a wonderful kitchen makes its entrance showcasing its marble countertops against the dark woods of the cabinets and the chromed skin of its state of the art appliances, all the while two bar stools in light colored wood and fabric cushions wait patiently to bring closer family and friends.
In front of the kitchen, a six seat diner makes its entrance in a peculiar way. A triangular table made from white marble stone is surrounded by chairs with soft cushions dressed with fabrics that depict the epitome of the tropics; palm tree leafs. Detailed ironworks hang from the white walls, adding a sense of grandeur to the room.
Further down, the living room waits with its soft suede cushions overlooking the wonderful art that hangs on the walls and the sturdy, polished wood fitments that adorn the room. A TV set seems to float by the wall in between decorations of baked clay in fantastical forms.
Entering the master bedroom, a large, full body mirror encased in dark woods serves as a host, guiding the way in. The massive King sized bed has been framed in ironworks that create a strong impact against the pure white linens and walls. The rug, with its soft gray tones, seems to be a transition point of this wondrous mix. A wicker chair sits by the windows, and down the bath a tub has been encased in French windows made of wood and embedded in marble tiles. The twin sinks have been carved from a single marble slate, and placed beneath a large mirror glass. The shower shies away behind a glass door, next to the large closet hidden by wooden doors.
In the guest bedroom, greatness has been accomplished by a Victorian style. A massive headrest of cushioned wood weaves crowns the king sized bed, where a dark moss colored rug serves as the counterweight in the contrast between the walls and the bed itself. Chain links form the mirrors frame as the large fitment serves as an entertainment center above which hovers the TV set. The guest bath, accessible from both the room and the main body of this home, offers quite a unique panorama. A long, colorful painting of bugambilias hangs in the wall in front of the twin sinks, and at the end, the marble tiled shower waits patiently.
In the deck, which can be entered through any of the rooms in the house, explodes in beauty. From the master bedroom, two cushioned lounge chairs bask in the light and overlook the horizon and the pool. From the living room a large, wooden coffee table is surrounded by four short chairs that see the ocean and the pool. And from the guest bedroom, a four piece diner topped with a round glass sits by a subtle fitment decorated with leafs carved from wood.
This home is, truly, a place to remember; and a place to return to.
